Matthias González is a French astrophysicist affiliated with the CEA at the Institute for Research on the Fundamental Laws of the Universe (IRFU), where he works in the Department of Astrophysics and within the AIM laboratory. A professor at Université Paris Cité since 2024, his research focuses in particular on radiative transfer, the hydrodynamics of astrophysical plasmas, star formation, and high-performance computing. After completing his PhD at CEA Saclay (2003–2006) and a postdoctoral position in Madrid, he became an associate professor and later a full professor, while contributing to several national and international projects in computational astrophysics.
