The HERMES project has been selected as a laureate of the 2025–2030 inIdEx program led by Université Paris Cité. In collaboration with the APC and AIM laboratories, its goal is to develop research at the interfaces between Earth sciences and astrophysics in order to explore the formation of cosmic structures, the evolution of the Earth and planets, and the emergence of life, using state-of-the-art methods to analyze phenomena ranging from the subatomic scale to that of galaxies. HERMES will also help to improve our understanding of planetary habitability by studying the processes that enabled the emergence of life. By strengthening the links between research, education, and knowledge dissemination, it will contribute to the rise of a new generation of scientists specializing in the study of the Earth and the Universe.
