Exploring gravity on large scales

The project aims to constrain modified gravity models by combining multi-messenger data, from gravitational waves to the electromagnetic spectrum, across a wide range of cosmological scales and epochs. It considers both models that act as dark energy and models that modify gravity without affecting homogeneous cosmological evolution. DHOST theories serve as the reference framework, complemented by an effective description of dark energy and by arguments based on fundamental principles and symmetries to identify theories that are robust and consistent with observations.

Progress: the recruitment of a postdoctoral researcher is ongoing; more than 200 applications have been received, and the final selection is scheduled for mid-February.
